About Sarah

Sarah DeRooy is the lead agent for The Sarah DeRooy Group. A Grand Rapids, MI native she makes her home along with her husband, and cat in the Heritage Hill neighborhood. She loves living an urban lifestyle and is passionate for the incredible city she calls home. Prior to real estate, Sarah made her career in Hospitality. Managing several hotels in Grand Rapids, she demonstrated a servant style of leadership to her staff. She received her education from Kendall College of Art and Design, with an emphasis in interior design, and often used the combination of her education & management style to create unforgettable guest experiences. Sarah obtained her real estate license in 2011, at a time when so many were leaving the industry. She saw an opportunity to curate a client experience that drew from her years in hospitality, and utilized her love for design. The Sarah DeRooy Group was created so that she could give her clients an unforgettable FIVE Star hospitality-like expierence, while providing the tools and resources to make sure they are in control of their single biggest investment, thus raising the bar and ensuring everyone receives the service that they deserve.
